What is MicronJet™ and How Does it Work?

MicronJet™ utilizes advanced Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology to effectively deliver aesthetic products, highly safe with minimal swelling bruising and downtime. NanoPass’s proprietary MEMS technology uses miniature delivery pyramids, smaller than 1mm, to penetrate the skin at a controlled depth. This ensures accurate and consistent product delivery into the dermis, preventing the “loss” of product to deeper skin layers that may reduce efficacy. The use of MicronJet™ enhances the results of aesthetic treatments whilst minimizing pain and discomfort, improving your patients’ comfort and loyalty.

Easy to Use
In a survey conducted with over 100 doctors and nurses, 94% found the device easier to use than a regular needle
Virtually Pain- and Bruise-Free
Less painful and less traumatic than a conventional needle, supporting better comfort and higher patient adherence
Shallow
Histological studies have confirmed that injected materials are defined well within the dermis with low variability
Consistent
Blebs of >6 mm (which is the key for successful intradermal injection) were observed in 98% of the injections, evaluated in over 1,200 injections in more than 860 subjects in several clinical studies
Applicable to All Ages
-Pediatrics applicability, as demonstrated by large Phase III study on 6-week-old infants1
-Elderly applicability was demonstrated in several clinical study2,3
Commercially Available
The MicronJet™ is available commercially in numerous territories including the US, EU, Brazil, China and Korea and is used for potential applications such as BCG vaccination, tuberculin skin test and allergy testing.

  • STEP 1

    • Hold syringe flanges between thumb and fingers.
    • The blue line must face you at all times.
    • Syringe flanges are not the orientation guide as they may not always be parallel to the blue line; use the blue line for orientation.
  • STEP 2

    • Stretch the skin downwards (below the injection site) throughout the entire injection.
    • Insert the device at a 45˚-70˚angle (flatten as required to reduce injection pressure)
    • Press the device into the skin until a shallow indentation is formed.
  • STEP 3

    • Inject slowly, expect strong resistance.
    • white wheal (bleb) will form at the injection site.
    • Upon completion, wait 3 seconds and remove syringe.

Patented Technology

NanoPass’s intellectual property and technology platform is protected worldwide with a robust global IP portfolio covering production processes, designs, and trademarks.

  • Robust Design

Sharper and more robust than regular needles, the NanoPass MicronJet™ hollow Intradermal Delivery devicesleverages a thick-walled, patent protected, pyramid design that enables the creation of elaborate miniature devices with unprecedented mechanical stability and structural precision.

  • Intradermal Delivery

NanoPass’ MicronJet™ technology offers a significant edge over current methods of intradermal needle delivery with its high consistency, low leakage rate and high success rate evaluated by bleb/wheal formation. Its microscopic size makes it less intimidating, reduces pain and as a result is preferred by a majority of patients
